The book of Jonah is a short and powerful book. It is full of major themes of scripture such as sin, judgment, grace, forgiveness, and the mission of God. This book displays God’s compassion. He pursues Jonah in His rebellion, He shows mercy to Nineveh when they repent. It’s a book that reminds us that in light of God’s compassion, we too should be compassionate. We have experienced grace through One greater than Jonah and should extend grace as well.
