“True Freedom”
The Book of Philippians
Life can feel like a prison. The prison walls might be physical sickness, family drama, economic hardship, or mistreatment by others. Over time, self-pity and victimization take hold of our hearts, and we feel trapped. But in his letter to the Philippians, Paul demonstrates a radically different mindset. Writing from a Roman prison cell, with every reason to feel confined and restricted, Paul invites us to a kind of freedom that no chains can take away—a freedom found only through knowing and following Christ.
