Don't give up! Keep going! There is nothing out there or back there, better than Jesus! Don’t retreat!" That seems to be a core message in Hebrews. It is a book that encourages perseverance as consider Jesus Christ in all His supremacy. It seems those addressed in Hebrews had endured persecution and some were growing weary. In fact, it seems that some were endanger of retreating from the faith. The writer writes to point them to Jesus and to display there is no need to retreat back to a faith without Jesus as Messiah, for He is better than all the OT has to offer as it points to Him. In fact, He is supreme to all, and God has spoken, He has revealed Himself to us through Jesus Christ. Therefore, we need to trust Him, follow Him, obey Him, and persevere in our walk with Him.
