In Genesis 3:15, right after Adam and Eve fell sin, God promised Eve an offspring who would crush the head of the serpent, an offspring who would, one day, undo the curse. From that moment on, all throughout the Old Testament there was an emphasis on the seed, or offspring - the Sons of Scripture.
