Teaching Point 1: God gives supernatural spiritual gifts to each believer (1 Cor. 12).

- Paul instructs that there are diverse and specific gifts that God has given to each person through the Holy Spirit (vs. 8-10).
- Each person's gift mix is unique, but God has given us exactly what He intended we have (v. 18).
- Not all gifts are made equal or distributed equally. However, the differences in the body are created according to what God has determined (v. 11).

God is better, bigger, and more exciting than we know! Bill Johnson says, ''If you're a Christian and you're bored, then you might want to check the distance between yourself and the Master.''

When we walk in the fullness of what God has for us, we live the most exciting and powerful life possible. It's the difference between living in black and white versus high-definition full color.

The apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthian church to teach them about the spiritual gifts God had given them. God has given specific gifts to each person through the Holy Spirit:

''To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge. The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing. He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said'' (1 CORINTHIANS 12:8-10).
