I Corinthians 12:8

But we've been studying spiritual gifts. Last Wednesday night a week ago we talked about the gift of the word of wisdom. Tonight I want to talk to you about the gift of the word of knowledge. If you'll look at I Corinthians 12:8 there is the explanation of the spiritual gifts we have in the word about the word of knowledge. He's talking about spiritual gifts. In verse 4 he says "There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit." In chapter 12 the emphasis constantly is upon the fact that God gives different gifts to different people, and yet all of these gifts come from the same source, from the Spirit of God.
Therefore, we are not to seek particular gifts. We're not to put one gift above another gift. We're not to say that one gift is essential and another gift is not essential. But we are to see that all the gifts are necessary to edify the body of Christ. Amen? God has placed gifts in the body severally as He will because a healthy body is a body that functions with all of it's members doing what God designed them to do.

They are similar in nature in that all of them are gifts that have to do with the supernatural impartation of knowledge from God. So when we talk about the word of wisdom we said that the word of wisdom exhibited in the life of many of the prophets of God, exhibited in the life of the ap ...
