Desecration - Antichrist Takes The Throne (2 of 6)

Daniel 7:20-25
I'm excited about our new study. We had great attendance last week and good attendance this morning. I believe we're going to have a wonderful time in the study, DESECRATION. I'm looking forward to what the Lord has for us. I'm so glad you're here. If this is your first time we're glad to have you. Is there anyone here this morning who did not get a copy of the book, DESECRATION? One of the things we're trying to do in this study is to show you where Dr. LaHaye, who formed the idea for these novels, then he enlisted the help of Jerry B Jenkins to do the writing, we want to show you where Dr LaHaye got his ideas. Of course, he got his ideas from Scripture and then he began to pray and let God give him an imagination about how these things might come to pass.
In other words, if Antichrist had power to send fire down from heaven how might he use that power. Or, if the Antichrist is going to persecute believers, how might he do it? If the Lord is going to protect believers during this time and he's going to protect Israel, Jewish believers, how is he going to do it? If he's going to prepare a place in the wilderness for the believers how will he do it? Well these books are just one man's idea of how He might do it. The interesting thing is looking at Scripture and seeing the places in the Bible where these things were taught. Last week we simply looked at an overview and the outline is available from last week if you'd like to get that. It will be helpful to you to have an overview of the passages that we're going to study over the next few weeks. You can get it from the tape ministry office after the service today - there's a window out in the main foyer. Or, anytime Monday through Friday from 8:30 - 4:30 here in the church office. Those are always available to you.
We're in lesson two of "Desecration: Antichrist Takes the Throne". Now, his Excellency, the Globa ...
