I just want to have a conversation with you, just a conversation with the pastor, and share with you how it really works, how God really works to do the marvelous things that He does in this church. Thirteen years ago at 801 Tascosa Road there was a pasture, nothing living here except rabbits, rattlesnakes, ground squirrels, and roadrunners. By the way, I think everything except the rattlesnakes still live here along with the family of God at San Jacinto. In other words, God brought something out of nothing. For a good while we did not have the kind of staff we do today, the number of staff members we do today. We look at the wonderful staff God has brought to us. God brought something out of nothing. That's the way God works in our life.

Look across the page to 2 Corinthians 9:6-7: "Remember this, whoever sews sparingly will reap sparingly; and whoever sews generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give." Over the last few weeks, we've had messages on giving; we've had the budget sent out. You had this word of exhortation from me in a separate letter. Now we come to the day when we have decided in our heart what we're going to do, or we will decide now what we are going to do. "Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." Look at the promise in 2 Corinthians 9:8: "And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." What an exciting, exciting time this is.
