I. BECAUSE CHRIST'S PARDON ERASES MY PAST
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1 (NIV)
A. The Number One Cause Of Hopelessness Is... (Guilt)...
B. The More Guilt You Carry, The More... (Hopeless)... You Become.
C. The Word "Pardon" Means... (Final)... (Judgment)...
II. BECAUSE CHRIST'S POWER CONTROLS MY PRESENT
Through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:2 (NIV)
A. We Feel Hopeless When Our Lives Seem To Be (Out)... (of)... (Control)...
B. We Feel Hopeless When There Are Things About Ourselves We Just Can't Seem To... (Change)...
C. The More We Yield Control Of Our Life To God, The... (Freer) We Become.
Now glory be to God who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of - infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes. Ephesians 3:20 (LB)
III. BECAUSE CHRIST'S PURPOSE TRANSFORMS MY PROBLEMS
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, and have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 (NIV)
Insight: This verse does not say that all things are or that all things work out the way we want them to.
