INTRODUCTION: Jacob had been saved when he saw in the dream a ladder that reached to heaven. After his dream he was conscious of God's presence, protection, and God's plan for his life. However, it is one thing to be saved, quite another to be surrendered. For the next 20 years of Jacob's life, God had to use a series of events in his life to bring him to the point of total surrender.
