Signs Of Christ's Return By The Year 2000 (8 Of 26)
Series: Issues of the 90's
Dr. Stan Coffey

INTRODUCTION: In 1988 many people placed their hope in the calculations contained in a book entitled a Reoa-so-s WNhy ei-l Return in 1988. When Jesus did not return on the given dates, all hope seemed to be lost. Jesus taught that we are not to set dates - Matthew 24:36, but He also told us that we are to watch for the signs. Paul said - "but ye brethren are not in darkness that that day should overtake you as a thief" (1 Thess. 5:4). 1 believe that Christians need to know the many good scriptural reasons we have for believing that the 1990's are the last days. Although all of these prophecies have not reached their ultimate fulfillment some have and many show indications of trends which would tell us that their fulfillment may be very near.
