The basic inward drive which God places in each Christian to serve is called his motivational gift, the opportunities of Christian service which are open to the believer for the exercise of his basic motivation is his ministry and the results in the lives of those to whom the believer ministers as determined by the Holy Spirit is the manifestation. The manifestations are not the actual gifts but the effects of the gifts in the body of Christ.
