Revelation 19:14-21
This lesson will finish the subject of Armageddon. The next lesson will begin a study of the millennial kingdom of Christ when He will reign a thousand years on the earth. Last week Jesus was described as He descends from heaven (Revelation 19:11-13), showing His person and position as He returns as the judging and avenging Christ. The marriage supper of the Lamb will take place following the catching away or the rapture of the church (Revelation 19:1-10). That will be a glorious time for the body of Christ - His bride, the church. A great wedding celebration will take place in the air. After the judgment seat of Christ, the bride will be presented unto Him as a pure, precious, prepared, and perfect bride. That bride is His body, the church of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Old Testament saints will be the wedding guests. The music will be the Hallelujah Chorus. It will be an awesome experience for those who are the children of God. "Eye has not seen and ear has not heard, nor has it entered into the heart of men the things that God has prepared for those who love him." The greatest spiritual high or the greatest worship time you have ever known cannot even begin to compare with that time at the wedding supper of the Lamb when the hosts of heaven join in the Hallelujah Chorus to the Lamb of God.
The second great event will be Jesus's re-entry onto Planet Earth. This will not be the coming of Christ for His saints to receive them; it will be the coming of Christ with His saints. This takes place seven years following the rapture of the church. He will touch His feet down on the Mount of Olives in the Battle of Armageddon, according to the prophet Zechariah. He will come back to the earth not in humility but in honor. He will come not to a cross but to a coronation. He will come not to be resident but to be president. That is the focus and background ...
