Introduction: The Psalmist used repetition to get a message across. One theme he repeated in order to communicate is "fret not." This message encourages you not to fret with some positive actions and promises.

Transition Statement: An obsession with rivals cannot be turned off easily. However, it can be ousted with a new focus of attention.

I. Purpose to look up!

Explanation: Trust the Lord and experience what purpose - v. 3. This verse was an exhortation to a steadfast life. One translator has translated "be fed" as "enjoy security." Another to "cultivate faithfulness." But either and both are true:

1) Live in the promises of God = live in the land. Land of promise/plenty. ...
