Ephesians 3:14-21
14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith-that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
This is God's Word
I really like this day, there aren't many days like this when the church is truly sending forth several people and in this case 23 and I realize some of you are staying here in Birmingham, and most of you are staying in the state but still there is a sense of commissioning today, there is a sense of change and that is good. It is exciting for you and it is also exciting for the church.
One of the things that we talk about a lot at Valleydale and are going to talk about in the future is our 0-18 ministry. What are we doing to reach, disciple, and prepare our young people to live a life that is eternally worth something that is ultimately pleasing to God.
And we invest a lot of resources into ministering to this age bracket. That includes people resources, financial resources, a lot of time, planning, prayer, and all the rest.
More than any other age bracket in the church, 0-18 is that important to us that we are willing and eager to make this investment into your lives, coming alongside your parents in this disciple making process.
And today we celebrate the end of that ...
