How to Experience the Greatness of God

Psalm 95:1-7
Introduction:
We've sung of the greatness of God this morning by singing ''How Great Thou Art,'' and ''How Great is our God.'' We hear and marvel at the greatness of God, but how can we actually experience the greatness of God? That is what we will look at this morning!
Body:
If we are going to experience the greatness of God, we must:
1- Sing with a joyful noise to the Lord!
1 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
rock of our salvation. This metaphor for God was especially appropriate in this psalm, which refers (vv. 8, 9) to the water that came from the rock in the wilderness
We can experience the greatness of God by singing, and making a joyful noise to Him! When you sing praise to the Lord, He will come and be real to you! You experience a fresh sense of the awareness that God is with you in a close way! The word for sing is,

A primitive root; properly to creak (or emit a stridulous sound), that is, to shout (usually for joy): - aloud for joy, cry out, be joyful, (greatly, make to) rejoice, (cause to) shout (for joy), (cause to) sing (aloud, for joy, out), triumph.
That means to shout aloud for joy, and cry out joyfully! We are to rejoice in triumph because God takes such good care of His children! Amen! Has God been good to you this morning? On this Homecoming Sunday, let us have a good old baptiscostal shouting fit! Amen and glory to God!
