I want to talk to you tonight about stress. I've entitled my message, ''All Stressed Up and Nowhere to Go.''

Did you know that in America we have such a stress-filled nation? People live such stress-filled lives. Two thirds of all doctor visits are stress-related problems. It's amazing. Stress plays a major role in heart disease, in cancer, in insomnia, in ulcers and stomach disorders, and all sorts of other ailments. Forty-three percent of adults suffer health effects due to stress. So much stress in our life. One million people miss work on any given day of the work week. Why? Because of stress-related ailments. Can anybody in here relate to stress? I mean, do you ever have a problem with stress? Am I the only one? Okay, a couple of you others that haven't called in yet to your employer, saying you can't make it because of stress. We all can relate to stress. But nobody can relate to stress as well as Steve Martin can in the movie ''Cheaper by the Dozen'' which is a display of stress on steroids if you have that kind of problem. You need a parenting class desperately if that's what your home life is like. But, you know, we laugh at that, but those are stressful situations. And everyone has dealt with some of those things in one degree or another. We've dealt with vomit. It's just horrible. I hated that. I would definitely call Debbie when something like that happened. I just didn't like it at all. But those things can be so stressful. And everything is hitting you at once.

What do you do when you get all stressed out? Know what some people do? They eat. That's the way they handle stress. They eat food. Isn't it interesting that the stress spelled backwards is desserts. I mean, that's just kind of what we do. We're like, ''I'm stressed out. I gotta eat.'' But listen. When you think of that old question from the commercial in the 70s, ''How do you spell ...
