John 38:1-11
Exhortation:
God will not allow you to be overtaken by your circumstances.
Isaiah 43:1 But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: ''Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. 3 For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
Many of you have walked through or are now walking through a struggle where it seems like your circumstances are going to overwhelm you and overtake you, but no matter how hard it gets, God will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear. Your temptation is to stop believing. Your temptation is to throw in the towel. Your temptation is to give up and give in the devil's lies.
Trust in the God who has it all under control.
Job 38:1 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said: 2 ''Who is this who darkens counsel By words without knowledge? 3 Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me. 4 ''Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding. 5 Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? 6 To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, 7 When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy? 8 ''Or who shut in the sea with doors, When it burst forth and issued from the womb; 9 When I made the clouds its garment, And thick darkness its swaddling band; 10 When I fixed My limit for it, And set bars and doors; 11 When I said, 'This far you may come, but no farther, And here your proud waves must stop!'
