Genesis 2:20-24
We have started a new series that will lead us all the way to Easter. I am calling it ''The Power of the Gospel'' series. In this series, I hope to bring message after message of the good news of Christ to you and all those that attend. The message is that through Christ, any life can be transformed. And He gives us the power to live this life for His glory.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, ''The just shall live by faith.''
GOSPEL of CHRIST is the POWER of GOD. The GOSPEL is the GOOD NEWS of the Declarations, Deeds, and Death of Jesus.
POWER - DUNAMIS
strength or ability already inherent in God
To = FOR which signifies an action in the past.
SALVATION = deliverance, safety
To secure our salvation by His grace
So we can say that the term The Gospel of Christ is the Power of God to Salvation, is the same as saying: The GOOD NEWS of JESUS CHRIST THE MESSIAH is the ABILITY ALREADY INHERENT IN GOD to secure the believer’s deliverance and safety.
The GOSPEL has the power to completely transform a human life. For me, it turned a young man clearly on his way to becoming an alcohol and drug addict to a preacher of the GOSPEL.
