So, if you have your Bible, turn to Titus chapter 3. We want to talk tonight, as we finished up our series on the Book of Titus, talk about this subject: ''Staying Focused.''

Now how many people in here remember the basketball player named Bernard King? Anybody remember Bernard King? Not a lot of hands. Bernard King played for the Tennessee Volunteers in the 70s. He had about a 15, 16-year career in the NBA. He was a great player. He played for the New York Nicks for a lot of his career. A scoring machine! Finished up his career, he was 16th on the all-time scoring leaders list for points. He had almost 20,000 points in his career in the NBA, just a great player. And one of the things that Bernard King was known for was his game face. He would really stay focused. That's the way he played basketball, he was just always so intense. He didn't trash talk or anything. He just played like that. And on Christmas Day, I think it was in 1984 or 85, scored 60 points on Christmas Day. I mean, he was a good player.

They did a 30 for 30 ESPN show on him that I watched just recently. And he said he was getting ready for a game and there was a guy on his team that was a rookie. And Bernard had been in the league for a number of years. And the rookie wanted one of his friends from the crowd to meet Bernard King. And so he said, ''Hey, come meet my friend.'' And King looked at him and really read him the riot act, and said, ''Hey, rookie,'' he said, ''you don't mess with me when I'm getting ready to play a game. I don't have time to meet your friend.'' He was focused on what he was doing. That's what made him such a great player. Arnold Palmer is a name most people know. He's one of the greatest golfers to have ever lived.
