Last week we looked at how we can get some very real Power INFUSED into our prayer lives…and we found that the Power is ALREADY in us, if we know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, because the moment we were saved, the Promise of receiving the Holy Spirit was fulfilled because He came in IMMEDIATELY to indwell in us, and when He came in, He came in full of all His power…so the power is there in us, we just have to allow the Holy Spirit to operate in us and use that power.
Now one of the things we found out about the Holy Spirit and how He works in our lives, is that He shows us the stuff that gets into our lives that ‘squelches’ Him operating in Power in us…and here, we’re talking about sin and junk…stuff we called, “Temple-clutter”…
But the Holy Spirit does a lot more than play ‘the Holy Nag’ in my life…He HELPS me in my prayers in a lot of other ways…
For one, when I don’t what to Pray, He makes intercession for me…Romans 8:26 says (NIV)
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
But one of the other things He does, which we saw, and like I said last week…and this is critical if we want to power-infused prayers, The Holy Spirit shows us what the Will of God is in regard to whatever our prayers SHOULD be…He does this because with Him in us, we have the ‘min ...
