THE SONG OF THE RUNNER
The Song of the Runner
Kenton Beshore
We stand at a time in our history’s life, really our country’s life, that really is a defining moment. We stand literally at the edge of War, and our leaders are going to make some really important decision so we want to pray for them. Let’s pray for our country. Oh father we are so glad that we can come to you today. And to know that you hear our cry. And that you know that we need you we do not want to be so foolish to depend on our technology and the strength of our army and how clever and bright we are. Cause we know that’s a fools game and that we can trust only you. And father we ask that you would give us peace. We know that no country, no government, no army has ever brought peace to this world. But you have. When we were at war with you you sent your son Jesus Christ who came and he brought peace when there was only rebellion in our heart and you gave us eternal peace. And so we know that our eternity is settled but our tomorrow is insecure. And we don’t know what will happen and so we come to you and we ask that you would pour wisdom and guidance down on our president and our representatives. That you would give them super natural courage to make choices and to do what is right. And lord we pray that you will give them the humility that they need to lead us well. We pray for the men and woman that are in foreign soil that are standing in harms way and we ask that you would be their shield, their strong hold, their protector. That you would be ever-present help in these times when they need you. And lord we pray for the families of those that are back here. Spouses, children, and parents, who live with anxiety and worry, And lord we are so grateful that when you revealed yourself to us you said that you are the lord gracious, compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. Oh God would you show your compassion, faithfulness, and love to those whose children, whose spouses, dads, and moms are in a ...
