Reverend: Thank you. It is... it is really fun to be back and welcome to see lots of you already. It is so – always, you know, there’s no place like home. Dorothy had it right. And it’s great to see you and there’s no place I’d rather be. There’s no church I’d rather be in. I love you and there’s no – you know, it is a privilege for me to be your pastor. So, thanks.

Let me give you just an update on my summer. We had a different summer than what we planned. When I saw you I said we’re going to go to Texas and you go, ‘Why?’ Which is... But, we couldn’t go to Texas. It flooded and the lake we went to, the dam broke and we actually couldn’t go. I mean, there’s just – no there.

So we floundered around for a week trying to figure out what we would do and, as you know in your family, traditions are really important and this summer was even more important. As I mentioned, Laurie’s sister had died just earlier in the summer and so the family had this need to be together. And so we felt all of a sudden, you know, what are we going to do and where are we going to go? And the family needed to be together and there just was confusing and the kids, you know, got frustrated because they’re going, ‘You know, you don’t care!’ See, I can’t control the rain, you guys. ‘No, if you cared, you’d make it work. You know, you’d fix it.’

And so I’m going, okay, I’ll go fix the dam in Texas and take care of it for you. But it makes you realize how important traditions are to your kids and to hold it together and just things that have to happen. And so we didn’t make it to Texas at all. But we tried and God provided in a wonderful way. Friends of Laurie’s parents had a mobile home in Lake Berryessa, which is up north around the Sacramento area, San Francisco. And so we got to go there for about 12 days and had a great time. And it had a big patio, which was critical and we got to bbq – it wasn’t quite Texas style – and the ...
