Genesis 50:20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.
Although God's plan for Joseph was to exalt him to a place where he would be used to save many, the process to get him to that place was difficult and filled with Adversity. Before he was raised up as the second in command in all of Egypt, he first had to experience the tests of rejection, betrayal, lust, revenge, bitterness, and the agony of being forgotten.
Every great man or woman of God is tested. If it is God's plan to save many through you, He may have to bring you through these tests in order that he may expose that which is in your heart that he might:
Purify
Prepare
EmPloy you.
Job 23:8 "Look, I go forward, but He is not there, And backward, but I cannot perceive Him; 9 When He works on the left hand, I cannot behold Him; When He turns to the right hand, I cannot see Him. 10 But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.
This is the test of ABANDONMENT
When you feel like God has abandoned you, when you feel forsaken of God. We know of the trouble that Job went through. This is how Job perceived his trouble: "when I go forward, God is not there, when I go backward ("I am not progressing"), I can't feel His presence. When I turn to the right, .....
GO BACK TO VS 10, "He knows the way I take." I may not understand what He is doing or allowing in my life, I don't know the way that He takes, but He knows the way that I take!!.
Jesus promised you that He would NOT LEAVE YOU AS ORPHANS, He will NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU.
There are times that we feel forsaken by God, but I am here to tell you that forsaken doesn't mean forgotten
