Series: Then Came Jesus

Mark 5:24-34
I. THE CONDITION
II. THE CURE
III. THE CONFESSION
This morning I want to invite your attention for our study to Mark Chapter 5. We have been in a series of messages moving through the entire Book of Mark tracing the footsteps of Jesus, following Jesus, experiencing what people must have experienced as Jesus performed His earthly ministry.
How exciting it is! We call the series "Then Came Jesus". Some of these messages we saw a man was possessed by demons then came Jesus and his whole life was changed. We saw the disciples on the Sea of Galilee involved in the midst of a storm that threatened to destroy them then came Jesus and the storm was calm and they were delivered.
Now this morning we are going to look at a certain woman who had been ill for twelve years but then came Jesus and this hopeless situation found hope because of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I know not too long ago I preached on this same story but I want again to look at it because it is in our series in Mark and because it is such a wonderful story and I believe it will touch the lives of all of us today.

AND HAD SUFFERED MANY THINGS OF MANY PHYSICIANS, AND HAD SPENT ALL THAT SHE HAD, AND WAS NOTHING BETTERED, BUT RATHER GREW WORSE, WHEN SHE HAD HEARD OF JESUS, CAME IN THE PRESS BEHIND, AND TOUCHED HIS GARMENT.
FOR SHE SAID, IF I MAY TOUCH BUT HIS CLOTHES, I SHALL BE WHOLE. AND STRAIGHTWAY THE FOUNTAIN OF HER BLOOD WAS DRIED UP; AND SHE FELT IN HER BODY THAT SHE WAS HEALED OF THAT PLAGUE.
AND JESUS, IMMEDIATELY KNOWING IN HIMSELF THAT VIRTUE HAD GONE OUT OF HIM, TURNED HIM ABOUT IN THE PRESS, AND SAID, WHO TOUCHED MY CLOTHES? AND HIS DISCIPLES ...
