I want us tonight to turn again to Mark Chapter 11. If you have a Bible or a New Testament and would like to follow the reading of the word, we want to turn to Mark 11, in fact the very same chapter that we were in this morning.
We've been in the book of Mark now for some time studying together the book of Mark following the footsteps of Jesus and looking at the life of Jesus and gleaning from His life some important principles in following how Jesus ministered and the things that He did.
Now tonight's message is entitled, "People Who Should Be Thrown Out Of The Church". Now that in itself is an interesting title that probably one they would throw out at the seminary. Amen?
They probably would throw that title out in preaching class but it's exactly what Jesus did. You know we think about Jesus inviting to church but here's a case where Jesus threw people out of church. He bodily removed people from the temple and forced them out of the temple when He came to Jerusalem on this occasion.
You remember the Bible says when He came on the Mount of Olives He entered the city and the He entered the temple. He came to execute judgment upon the city and He came to execute judgment upon the temple. It's a very interesting passage.
Look at Mark Chapter 11 and I want us to begin in Verse 15. This is immediately after Jesus had cursed the fig tree, "AND THEY COME TO JERUSALEM: AND JESUS WENT INTO THE TEMPLE, AND BEGAN TO CAST OUT THEM THAT SOLD AND BOUGHT IN THE TEMPLE, AND OVERTHREW THE TABLES OF THE MONEYCHANGERS, AND THE SEATS OF THEM THAT SOLD DOVES;
AND WOULD NOT SUFFER THAT ANY MAN SHOULD CARRY ANY VESSEL THROUGH THE TEMPLE. AND HE TAUGHT, SAYING UNTO THEM, IS IT NOT WRITTEN, MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED OF ALL NATIONS THE HOUSE OF PRAYER? BUT YE HAVE ...
