"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (NIV)

The Greek word for cheerful is hilaros.

"And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." 2 Corinthians 9:8 (NIV)

"'Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? ... Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?'" Matthew 6:25, 27 (NIV)

"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously." 2 Corinthians 9:6 (NIV)

I have here some Good Humor Ice Cream Bars that I'm going to throw out. Yeah. Oh Yeah. Oh man. It's a good thing Colt McCoy will be here next week. He'll be able to throw them a little further. Here's some Bomb Pops. Yeah. Finally ... somebody who could catch!

We throw out Good Humor Bars because we can. No ... because we're in a series on God's good humor in our lives, and God's good humor always comes out of God's good purpose for us because God knows that when He asks us to do something in His word that we don't completely understand, that doesn't make complete sense to us at the time, if we learn to trust and obey, immediately we experience God's best, God's blessings in our lives because God knows what's best for us so His good humor always comes out of His good purpose for our lives.

Our key passage today is 2 Corinthians 9. Would you stand in honor of God's word? And we're going to see something hilarious today. Just follow along with me.
