"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (NIV)

I. Acknowledge the Source of Blessings

"God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."

• Stop worrying about finances

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?... Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?" Matt. 6:25, 27 (NIV)

• Pray for God's provision

Rhonda Byrne is sweeping the nation. The international bestseller says the secret that's been passed down through ages is something called the law of attraction, and the law of attraction basically says that whatever happens to me in life I attracted to myself through my thoughts, words and actions. Now we said last week that there's a lot of The Secret that's good because there are some biblical principles in The Secret, and whenever you live out biblical principles, it works whether you realize its biblical principles or not. Whether your realize or give credit to God or not, if you live out God's Word it's going to work, and the Bible says a lot about the power of thoughts and words. The children of Israel died in the desert and didn't make it to the Promised Land because they griped and complained and were negative. There's power in our words. Positive faith is a pathway for God to bless and to work in our lives. Negativity and complaining and griping blocks God's blessing in our lives, and the Bible's clear about that. It's all through scripture, the power of words and thoughts. But there's also the flaw of attraction. The Secret says that everything that comes my way I've earned it or deserved it. Now the problem with that is if everything that comes my way is something I've earned or deserved, then I've also earned and deserved punishment because the Bible says we've all sinned. Nobody's perfect. We've all made mistakes. But fortunately, there's a higher law than the law of attraction. There's a law that supersedes the law of attraction, and it's the law of grace. Because of Christ I have forgiveness and purpose and heaven one day. It's not because I've earned it or deserved it. You can't earn or deserve salvation.
