This is the secret to everything. Joy, health, money, relationships, love, happiness, everything you've ever wanted. That's the claim by the new, best-selling book, The Secret, by Rhonda Byrne. Everything you've ever wanted you can have. The author says the secret has been passed down through the ages by all the ancient greats, it's something called the Law of Attraction and the Law of Attraction basically says that whatever happens to me in life I attracted it to myself through my thoughts, my words and my actions. Now, the Bible says something similar. That whatever you give out in life you are going to get back. Give and it will be given unto you. For the measure you give is the measure you are going to get back and even more of. The Bible is clear that there is a lot of truth in the Law of Attraction. That's why many parts of the secret are good and they really work because when you live out a biblical principle it works weather you realize it's a biblical principle or not. It doesn't really matter if you realize it or not, you don't even have to give credit to God for it. It will still work because God's Word is alive and working and if you live out a biblical principle it's going to give you results in your life. But there is a flaw of attraction. The book says that all things that come to me, come because I deserve it. All the good things that come to me I deserve. The problem with that is everyone has sinned and so we also deserve punishment. Nobody is perfect. We've all made mistakes. If I got everything that I deserved then I'd also get punishment, but fortunately God has given us a higher dimension, a higher law than the law of attraction which says you reap what you sew. That higher law is the law of grace. God came to give us forgiveness and purpose and heaven one day through His Son, Jesus Christ. There is a higher law. The law of grace. I'm so thankful because I'm counting on it, I need it. I'm depending on it. But The Secret also says that every good thing that comes to me comes from an impersonal, unbiased universe. That cosmic force out there.
