What if God came to you and he said you could have one thing, anything you want, you name it and its yours? What would your one thing be? I think for a lot of us it would freak us out because we would think about all of the options that we would have. I mean, there are thousands of things that we need. But, what would that one thing be? You could choose anything and God said I'll give it to you right away. You ask and it's yours. What would your one thing be? That might be kind of a stressful decision because you could choose so many things. It could be success. It could be wealth. It could be fame. It could be hair. For me, that would be a very tough decision. That actually happened to a guy in the Old Testament whose name was Solomon. He had just taken over for his father David as King over Israel. Solomon was a young man and he had a dream one night where God said to him, "Solomon, what is the one thing you want? You name it, anything and its yours." You know what Solomon's one thing was? Wisdom. He said, "God, I really feel like a little child here among all these people I'm supposed to lead. I feel overwhelmed and I don't know what to do. I'm clueless. What I really need more than anything else is your wisdom to make good decisions for these people that I'm trying to lead. I need wisdom desperately to be able to be the leader that these people need and deserve." God loved his prayer so much. God loved his request so much when he asked for wisdom that God said, "Solomon I am pleased and I'm going to give you exactly what you've asked for, wisdom. You are going to be the wisest man who ever lived. I'm also going to give you what you didn't ask for. I'm going to give you success, honor and prestige and wealth and long life. I'm going to give you everything else." I am starting a new series of talks today that I am calling your move, because it really is your move. God gives us the choice as to what we are going to follow after and pursue this year. God gives you the choice as to what resolutions you are going to make and break this year. God gives us the choice. Every decision is so vital and so important especially at the beginning of the year. So I ask you again, what is your one thing?
