1. LIGHT THE FRIENDSHIP FLAME

2. FUEL THE FOREVER FLAME
"Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot wash it away. If one were to give all the wealth of his house for love, it would be utterly scorned." Song of Songs 8:7 (NIV)

Ever since I was a little kid, I have always been intrigued by fire. I think every grade school boy has a little bit of pyromaniac in him. Whenever my family would take us to a nice restaurant, which wasn't very often unless you consider Sizzler a nice restaurant and if there was ever a candle on the table my brother and I would be playing the fire. We might touch the hot wax, sometimes we would either toast a roll, but we would run our fingers through the fire until our parents would say quit playing the fire, it is dangerous, because fire can be dangerous and we learned that in our community recently with the wildfires that burned out of control, destroyed thousands of acres and hundreds of homes. Fire can be dangerous, but fire is also a gift of God. When it is controlled in a fire place, it warms you. When it is out of control in a wild fire, it burns you and another one of God's good gifts that intrigues little boys and girls is sex. Sex is a beautiful, wonderful gift of God, but out of control it burns you and it devastates homes and families and marriages, but in the confines of the marriage relationship it burns brightly, it can warm you, it can create the fireworks, the passion and the sizzle in the marriage relationship and that's God's intent. In Hebrews 13:4 it says guard the sacredness of sexual intimacy between a wife and husband. So, God is saying that sex is not a bad thing, it is not a dirty thing and it is not just a good thing and it is not just a great thing. It is a Godly thing. It is sacred. It is a beautiful sacred gift of God. The problem is we get a lot of bad information from society on this subject and it starts early on from bathroom walls to billboards, from movies to magazines.
