I'm starting a new series today that I am calling "Under New Management." It's how to get your life under control. Now, notice I didn't say it's how to get control of your life because really you can't do that. You can't get control of your life. If you try to you'll just get frustrated. But you can get your life under control when you place your life under God's control and you make Christ your life manager. The whole series is really about worship, but usually when we think of worship we think of going to church or singing a song to God. Worship is far more than that. Worship is focusing on God and placing your life under His control. It's really surrendering your life and all the areas of your life under Christ's control. It's putting Christ first in all the areas of my life. You can worship God in your marriage if you put Him first in your marriage. You can worship God in your workplace if you put Him first in your workplace. You do your best. You have integrity. You use your gifts to make a difference. You worship at work. You can worship God in your body. If you exercise and eat right and take care of your body, which the bible says is the temple of God, then you worship God that way. You can worship God in your finances if you put Him first in your finances and you save and you spend wisely and you budget and do all those things that the bible talks about - then you worship God through your finances. Folks, I am really excited about this series because you may have been a Christian for 30 years, but you've never really learned how to worship God in the details of your life. Or maybe you've just been a Christian for one week and you want to learn how to worship God with all the details of your life. God wants to be your life manager. He's an expert in every field including the one we are going to look at today. The timing is really appropriate since Friday is Valentine's Day.
