We are in a new series that I am calling "Under New Management" and we are talking about how to worship God in every detail of our lives. We are talking about how to look to God, the expert, in all the areas of our life. Before we get started today, though, I want us to pray. I want us to pray for our nation. I want us to pray for our troops, for God's protection. I want us to pray for our president and for our families. As believers we ought to remember the first thing we ought to do is pray. I guess it's okay to run down and get duck tape, but pray before you do that. It's so much more important. I want us to pray. As believers it's important to remember that we don't have to be afraid. We never have to be afraid. We have Jesus Christ with us wherever we go. Isaiah 41:13 says, "For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you do not fear, I will help you." So, let's pray right now. Dear God we thank You today that You are right here with us. That Your presence is right here and I am so thankful for that. You watch over us. You protect us. You go with us everywhere we go. Lord, right now we pray for our nation. We pray that our nation would turn back to You and really see that You are the only answer, You are what we need. Lord I pray right now for our troops that You would just protect them and show them that You are right there with them. That they would feel Your presence today. Lord, we pray for our president. That You would give him wisdom and strength because he has to make these difficult decisions. Lord we just pray for all of our families that You would watch over us and protect us. We thank You that You are right here with us and we don't have to be afraid. In Jesus' name. Amen. I'm sure that when some of you heard what the message was about today, "Body By God," that you thought what in the world are we doing talking about the body in church. Isn't that kind of vain? Aren't we just supposed to talk about spiritual things at church? No. The body is important to God. God cares about our bodies. In fact we are going to see some very important spiritual ramifications to taking care of our bodies. Most Christians are clueless when it comes to understanding how important our bodies are to God.
