If you'll take out your outlines from your program, we're concluding the series we've been in the last five weeks that I've been calling Jesus Uncensored: He's Not Who You Think He Is.
Folks, I don't know how many times we have to tell you turn your pagers and your cell phones off. I mean, it's a tremendous distraction to the people around you. So, whoever that is.... Oh oh, I'm so embarrassed. That's my cell phone! Hold on.
Pastor Kerry:
Hello. What? You've got us booked at the Pavilion today? I didn't realize that that was today! How many times have I told you? Never book us on a weekend! We're pastors. We've got to be at our church on the weekend. I don't care how close it is! Okay, just this once; and that's it! Never book us on the weekends! All right..... Folks, I am so sorry; but I've got to leave. And I'll hurry back as quick as possible. I can't really tell you why, but I've got to go.
Pastor Stan, are you around anywhere?
Pastor Stan:
Yes, yes.
Pastor Kerry:
Could you just take over and do something. Do something spiritual.
Pastor Stan:
Oh, okay. We'll try!
Ah, if you'll take out your outlines.... You know what? This is crazy. I can't do this! Um, Camera 1, let's go see what the heck is going on. Just follow him! Go, go, go! Come on!

Now we're talking today about Jesus, the comedian, and that was our feeble, lame attempt at some comedy to get us started. But, most people, when they think of Jesus Christ, the word comedian would never come to their mind. Maybe the word supernatural, or the word compassionate, or the word spiritual - but the words funny or fun usually don't come to mind when we think of Jesus Christ. But people loved to listen to Jesus Christ. It was so fun to listen to the Son of God.
In fact, look at your first verse, Mark 12:37. It says, "...The large crowd listened to him (Jesus) with delight." Whenever I speak at pastors' conferences, I always use this verse, and then I ask the pastors, "Do people listen to you with delight?" They listened to Jesus with delight.
I think one of the greatest missing ingredients in churches today is fun. It doesn't sound real spiritual, but it really is; because, when we have fun at church, we're more like Jesus Christ.
Now when a non-Christian thinks of church, what is the one word they usually think of?
