You know that's a real train whistle, don't you? Yeah. I've heard that people can actually hear it on 242 out there. There are all these hilarious videos on the Internet of some guys who apparently had a lot of time on their hands, so they buy an old train whistle. They put it on their car, and then they drive up to unsuspecting pedestrians and just blast the train whistle at them, and there are always these pedestrians who are just walking down the sidewalk, nonchalantly, minding their own business, and these guys pull up right behind them, and they just blast the whistle. Just boom! Just hit it. Like that. And they just jump out of their skin. It's like they can be in the middle of the parking lot at the grocery store, but it's like: I'm going to be hit by a train. There's just something in the brain that says: This is it. A train is going to hit you right now. You can be on the sidewalk, but a train is coming, and it just scares them, and it doesn't get old. I mean it's just like: These guys do this, I think, full time. That's all they do, you know. Millions of hits, and they just love it. There's something about a train whistle that just wakes you up. Can you image if that was your alarm clock in the morning? That would be horrible.
I really believe that God wants to give a divine whistle blast into our hearts today to wake us up, to make us come alive, to realize that He's right here and to do a great work in our lives. You see every one of us intuitively knows that God has placed us here on this earth for a great purpose, but we so easily and quickly get off track, and before you know, instead of living from the passion that God has placed in our heart, being fully alive on God's track of great adventure, we end up on a track of meaningless existence, just a track of going through the motions, a track of just trying to stay alive, to make it through another day, and that's not what God intends for us. God wants to give you a divine wakeup call, and He wants to pull up the second-chance train right next to you today and blast that divine whistle right into your heart, to say that I still have a purpose, I still have a plan. I don't want you to be on the track of meaningless existence. I want you to be on my track, being fully alive, living from the passion I placed in your heart.
