We can all think of areas in our lives where we desperately need to change. For some of us it may be a change in personal health, maybe it's losing a little weight, getting in shape, living a healthier lifestyle. For some it may be a personal financial change. Maybe you need to do something drastic to get out of debt and to get serious about a budget for a change or maybe for some it's a personal character change. Maybe you've got a habit, a destructive habit that's holding you back and harming your relationships. We all know areas of our lives where we desperately need to change. That's not the problem. The problem is we're not changing, and it seems we get stuck in these ruts that we can't seem to break free from, and it's because we're going about change all wrong, we're going about change backward, and that's why I'm so excited about this new series we're starting this weekend that I'm calling Inside Out. It's experiencing personal, radical transformation, and I really have been praying about this series for a long time, planning it for a long time, really anticipating it for a long time, and I'm so glad it's finally here because I really believe that God's going to work miracles in our lives over the next few weeks from the inside out, and it's going to change our lives, it's going to change our families, it's going to change our church and it's going to impact our community because this isn't just a series - I mean this is what this church is all about-- life change--and we all need to experience life change.
I want you to open your Bibles to Romans 12:2 because it's our key passage for the whole series. So, would you stand in honor of God's Word and as you stand always remember you're standing with all of those at our satellite campuses at Woodlands Church East, Woodlands Church West and Woodlands Church Northwest, all those worshiping through our broadcast ministry and our online ministries from all over the world and here at the Fellowship Campus, I love you, too. You're awesome, and so we base everything we do on God's Word because God's Word is the only thing that can change our lives, and this church is built and founded on God's Word. So just follow along with me. You don't have to read it out loud, but just wherever you're worshipping from, just key into this passage right now in Romans 12:2.
"Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God.
