We're in a series that I'm calling "Headlines" as we are looking at what the Bible has to say about current events and culture, and someone who's been in the headlines far too often recently, for all the wrong reasons, is Charlie Sheen. Now Charlie Sheen was the highest paid actor in television, bringing in around 2 million dollars per episode for his role in the hit TV sitcom Two and a Half Men, but CBS finally fired Sheen after a series well-publicized drug binges involving porn stars and prostitutes that turned violent, and that's when the media tour and all the craziness really got started. Sheen went on every television show and went to every media outlet that would take him, and he stated that he had cured himself from drug abuse and addiction instantly with his own brilliant mind. He said a lot of other unique things. When asked if he was still addicted, he said the only thing I'm addicted to right now is winning, and then he said this ... I am on a drug, it's called Charlie Sheen. It's not available, because if you try it you will die. Your face will melt off and your children will weep over your exploded body. Really deep stuff like that he said that went all over the twittosphere, and then asked why he didn't get back to rehab, he said this ... AA was written for normal people, people that aren't special, people that don't have tiger blood and Adonis DNA. I think tigers around the world were offended that he brought them into it. And then they asked why are you so quotable, and he said, I'm grandiose, because I live a grandiose life, I'm not aw shucks, because I'm gnarly. And I hadn't heard the world gnarly since the late 80s, but he's literally single-handedly brought it back. And then his favorite phrase that he says all the time is 'Duh Winning', which everyone is sick and tired of hearing that. But Charlie Sheen now has become a pop culture phenomenon as he set a Guinness Book of World Records for the fastest to ever reach 1 million followers on Twitter. He did it in about 24 hours, and now he brings his narcissistic, 80s diatribe to every major city in the country with what he's calling his Torpedo of Truth Tour.
