And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth…and from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

That's the essence of this entire series; to "act" more like Jesus.

Of course, you've already heard me say that you can't "act" like Jesus if you're not abiding in Him and letting His Words abide in you.
And that is accomplished by spending time with Him in prayer and in His Word.
The Skit Guys in that video we just saw referred to the "What Would Jesus Do" slogan that was made popular by the book "In His Steps".
In other words, the idea behind that "campaign", if you will, was to try to think what Jesus would do in any given situation in which you might find yourself.

But how can you know what Jesus would do unless you know Him?

That's like asking, "Well, I wonder what my pastor would do?"

You probably don't KNOW what I would do because you don't spend time with me and haven't seen me in certain situations.

But ask my boys?? More than likely they can tell you exactly what I do!

One time when I was playing golf in San Angelo, on a rare occasion I hit my tee shot into the rough behind some trees……….

When the gentleman I was playing with and I drove over to my ball to look at my situation, I said, "I wonder what Tiger Woods would do?"
He said, "Well, there's one major problem with that: you're not Tiger Woods".

You see, I will NEVER be able to do the things Tiger Woods does on the golf course; and truthfully, there are things that I will NEVER be able to do that Jesus did while on the earth.
