We think "If I change my location, I'll change my life."
We think happiness is a destination, but real joy is found in the journey.
• The Avenue of Anxiety
• Ps. 37:7 (LB)
• The Causeway of Complaining
• Num. 21:4,5 (GN)
• Rom. 4:3-8; 16; 18-21 (NLT)
Faith is the key to reclaiming my stolen joy!
THE FREEWAY OF FAITH …
1. Is Sometimes a Difficult Road
"Abraham never wavered in believing God's promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God." Vs. 20 (NLT)

Hey, I'm standing next to an American classic. This is a 1930 Model A Ford Deluxe Roadster; and from the moment the Model A arrived on the scene, it really stole the nation's heart. In fact, when it was introduced on December 2, 1927, hundreds of thousands of people lined up just to get a glimpse of this car. The Model A had a four- cylinder engine, three-speed transmission, and it could reach top speeds of a whopping 65 miles per hour, and you could buy one of these babies for an average of about 500 bucks back in the day.
Now in this series, we're sort of going back to a classic time to talk about some classic values that are being stolen out of our lives, our families, our relationships and our culture because the Bible says there is this thief, and he's much more sinister than a car thief, and he's stealing out of our lives the things that are much more valuable than a classic car or anything that money can buy, and today I want to talk about how to take back the priceless treasure of joy because to see somebody today whose life is full of an unfettered, boundless, overflowing contagious joy is about as rare as seeing someone drive a Model A down the road and that's because we take these wrong turns in lives, and around the bend there's the thief waiting to steal away this priceless treasure.
I want us to look in our notes because our joy is stolen when we travel down first the roadway of wrong thinking. In the late 1920s and the 1930s millions of these Model As were sold to a growing middle class in America, and it changed forever America's vacation habits because it had once been where people living in a city might travel by horseback a few miles into the countryside and spend a few days relaxing for their vacation, but with the automobile you could just on the spur of the moment, jump in the car and travel long distances to amazing American vacation destinations like the Grand Canyon or Yosemite National Park or the white sand beaches of Florida.
