Turbulent times are opportunities for wise leaders to accomplish God's purposes. There are many tensions today because of the cross-currents in our culture that resist almost everything we are endeavoring to accomplish. There are tensions because of certain traditional baggage that needs to be expelled. Transitional times in church, culture and global economy is a time for Joshua Leadership. Joshua Leadership is people who know how to interpret the times, the spiritual climate, the prophetic signs and their own cultural contexts. However, it isn't enough to simply know the signs of the times; Joshua Leadership must also know what to do about them.
I. JOSHUA LEADERSHIP PREPARES AND SUCCESSFULLY LEADS GOD'S PEOPLE THROUGH MULTI-FACETED TRANSITIONS
A. THE TENSION OF STANDING BETWEEN TWO ERAS
Josh. 1:1 2 After the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, it came to pass that the LORD spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' assistant, saying: "Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them the children of Israel."
