1. This week we heard and saw once again the devastating consequences of not taking obedience and sin seriously. Proverbs 1:7 tells us, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” Obviously, Achan lacked this fear of God. Another example of not fearing God is found in Acts 5:1-11. As you read what happened, how could the people’s response help them to fear God in a healthy way? How might someone’s fear in this situation take them in the wrong direction?
How do the following verses help us understand where a healthy fear of God can take us?
