2 Timothy 1:6-12
I. THE DEBILITATING POWER OF FEAR
II. THE DYNAMIC POWER OF FAITH
III. THE SPIRIT OF UNDERSTANDING
I'm glad you are here today. I want to begin a brand new series of messages today about the overcoming life. The Bible says we as believers are to be overcomers. Amen? Don't you want to be an overcomer in the day of life?
The Bible says this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. And God wants us to overcome all those things that come against us and live victorious Christian lives. The Bible says, ''Thanks be unto God who causes us always to triumph through the Lord Jesus Christ.''

There is an answer to doubt. There's an answer to anxiety. There's an answer to stress. There's an answer to fear.

Sometimes we are afraid of the future, sometimes we are afraid of another person, many times we are fearful because of uncertainty but we have all kinds of fears that beset us today and we need to understand what God says about the overcoming life as it relates to fear.
God doesn't want you to be in bondage to fear and so Paul writes in 2 Timothy Chapter 1 beginning in verse 6 he says to Timothy, ''WHEREFORE I PUT THEE IN REMEMBRANCE THAT THOU STIR UP THE GIFT OF GOD, WHICH IS IN THEE BY THE PUTTING ON OF MY HANDS. 7 FOR GOD HATH NOT GIVEN US THE SPIRIT OF FEAR; BUT OF POWER, AND OF LOVE, AND OF A SOUND MIND.
BE NOT THOU THEREFORE ASHAMED OF THE TESTIMONY OF OUR LORD, NOR OF ME HIS PRISONER: BUT BE THOU PARTAKER OF THE AFFLICTIONS OF THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO THE POWER OF GOD;
