This morning if you have your Bible, I want to continue that thought about the overcoming life. Turn please to Proverbs 28 and also to Psalms 51. I want to speak today on the subject, "Overcoming Guilt".

We've been talking about the "Overcoming Life". I want San Jacinto to be a body of Christ who knows how to live the overcoming life. We need to know what it is to walk in victory because if we are going to reach people for Christ, if we are not only going to go to heaven but enjoy the trip then we are going to have to be overcomers. Amen?

I pray for you, my prayer and my earnest desire for your life is that you be an overcomer in Jesus because that's what every child of God was saved to be. One of the things we need to learn to overcome is this thing called guilt.

I think America is suffering under a burden of guilt. Many Christians I talk to are under condemnation and guilt rather than living in the joy of the Lord, rather than living with a smile on their face and with the joy of Jesus in their heart they are living under a crushing weight of defeating guilt.

I want to tell you there is absolutely a plan of God to overcome guilt in your life so that you can live a life of power and a power of freedom and a life that is a witness and testimony to the saving grace and power of Jesus Christ in a life.

Proverbs 28:13, here's what God says, "HE THAT COVERETH HIS SINS SHALL NOT PROSPER: BUT WHOSO CONFESSETH AND FORSAKETH THEM SHALL HAVE MERCY." He that covers his sins shall not prosper.
