Acts 2:46-47
Jesus said "worshippers must worship in spirit and in truth" (or, spirit-inspired and real -John 4:24). For the early church that included being "together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God, and enjoying the favor of all the people."
I. Real Worship Is God-Centered-"Praising God."
A. Real worship: a product of revelation.
1. The revelation of God as Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler. Psalm 100
2. The revelation of God as faithful, just, and steadfast in love. Psalm 9
3. The revelation of "God in Christ" as Savior and Lord. Revelation 5
B. Real worship: an expression of appreciation.
1. Appreciation expressed in attitude.
a. Worship = "proskyneo" = "kiss towards."
b. "Come let us bow down in worship, let us kneel." Psalm 95:6
2. Appreciation expressed in articulation.
a. Prayers of thanksgiving and doxology. Romans 11:33f
b. Praise in "psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs." Colossians 3:16
3. Appreciation expressed in action.

Having discovered that Jesus was the Savior of the world, the early Christians promptly embarked on the massive project of outreach to the world-with remarkable results!
I. The Obligation of Outreach. Romans 1:14
A. Contributing to the coming of the Kingdom. Matthew 6:10
B. Participating in the proclamation of the truth. Acts 4:12
C. Carrying out the commission to make disciples. Matthew 28:19-20
II. The Objective of Outreach. Acts 2:47
A. The salvation of the lost-"the saved."
B. The integration of the saved-"added."
III. The Operation of Outreach.
A. A matter of divine activity.
1. It is the Lord who "saves." See Acts 3:26
