I. What Exactly Is Preaching?
A. "Stood up with the eleven." v. 14
B. "Addressed the crowd."
C. "Let me explain."
D. "Listen carefully."
E. "I tell you confidently." v. 29
F. "Be assured of this." v. 36
G. "Peter replied." v. 38
H. "He warned them." v. 40
I. "He pleaded with them."

Part 2: The Significance of Baptism

The people who were so moved by Peter's sermon that they enquired what they should do were promptly told to "repent and be baptized…" They obviously understood what he meant, but since that time, the water has become a little muddy.
I. What Were the People Told to Do?
A. "Repent." v. 38
1. Why should they repent? Matthew 4:17
2. How should they repent? Luke 3:8f
B. "Be Baptized."
1. "Every one of you."
2. "In the name of Jesus Christ."
C. "Save Yourselves." v. 40
1. "Those being saved." v. 47
2. "This corrupt generation." see Matthew 16:4; 17:17
II. What Would Happen to Them?
A. Their sins would be forgiven. v. 38 (lit. "To send from.")
