I. The Basis of the Belief.
A. The "Protevangelium." Genesis 3:15

3. The "seed" of the woman will accomplish this.
B. The prophecy. Isaiah 7:10-17
1. A sign to the "House of David."
2. An "Almah" will bear "Immanuel." Proverbs 30:19
C. The pronouncement.
1. To Mary, the "Parthenos." Luke 1:26-38
2. To Joseph, the betrothed. Matthew 1:19f

Part 6: Suffered, Crucified and Buried

The rejection, betrayal and execution of Jesus of Nazareth is a tragedy of epic proportions. The death of "Jesus Christ our Lord" is more than a tragedy, it is a mystery which we must approach with reverence.
