B. The introduction to the Son of God. v. 3

2. To experience that "the Lord is good."

Part 8: Building on the Rock

1 Peter 2:4-8

Peter (Gk. "Petros") was called the rock (Gk. "petra") on which Christ would build His church, but Peter called Christ "the living stone" and "the rock" and said that all believers like living stones are being built up in Christ. When the going gets tough, what and how and where you are building is important.

I. Christ-The Living Stone.

A. The divine revelation of the Living Stone.
1. Prophetic pronouncement.
a. Jehovah's promise of judgment. Isaiah 8:12ff

b. Jehovah's principle of justice. Isaiah 28:16ff

c. Jewish psalm of jubilation. Psalm 118:22
