Praise the Lord for Jesus who took our place. Amen? What a wonderful truth; goes right along with the book of Galatians. So take your Bible and turn for our study tonight to Galatians Chapter 5 and tonight we are talking about the Life of Liberty.

The life of liberty and as you are turning, I'll remind you how Galatians is structured. You know Chapters 1 and 2 Paul deals with personal things in his own life, establishing his own testimony and affirming his own authenticity.

Then Chapters 3 and 4 deal with doctrinal matters. He deals with the doctrine of justification by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Then beginning with this chapter tonight Chapter 5 he deals with practical things and how to apply what he has said in the previous chapters to every day living.

So he is dealing with that part of the Christian life that theologians call sanctification, growing in Christ, growing in grace, how to grow in grace, how to walk in grace after you have been saved by grace. The Bible says you are to live by grace and serve by grace and grow in grace. That's something that Christians ought to be very concerned about and I know that you are.

Notice in Verse 1 he says, "STAND FAST THEREFORE IN THE LIBERTY WHEREWITH CHRIST HATH MADE US FREE, AND BE NOT ENTANGLED AGAIN WITH THE YOKE OF BONDAGE. BEHOLD, I PAUL SAY UNTO YOU, THAT IF YE BE CIRCUMCISED, CHRIST SHALL PROFIT YOU NOTHING.
FOR I TESTIFY AGAIN TO EVERY MAN THAT IS CIRCUMCISED, THAT HE IS A DEBTOR TO DO THE WHOLE LAW. CHRIST IS BECOME OF NO EFFECT UNTO YOU, WHOSOEVER OF YOU ARE JUSTIFIED BY THE LAW; YE ARE FALLEN FROM GRACE.
FOR WE THROUGH THE SPIRIT WAIT FOR THE HOPE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS BY FAITH. FOR IN JESUS CHRIST NEITHER CIRCUMCISION AVAILETH ANY THING, NOR UNCIRCUMCISION; ...
