Ephesians 1:1-14
Ephesians teaches us the glory of the "heavenly places" and how we should behave in "earthly places." First we see how heaven comes to earth in God's dealings with people-in Christ!
I. How God Deals with People-"in Christ."
On the basis of:
A. His will. vv. 1, 5, 9, 11
B. His glory. vv. 6, 12, 14

II. What God Does for People-"in Christ."
A. He accepts people. v. 6

The Ephesians had come a long way from Acts 19, but Paul was praying that they would go much further.
I. The Stimulus of Paul's Prayer.
A. Inspiration.
Note: "Wherefore" v. 15, relates to vv. 13-14.
B. Information. v. 15
1. They were trusting the Savior.
2. They were loving the Saints.
II. The Substance of Paul's Prayer.
A. The God whom he recognized. v. 17a
B. The Gifts that he requested. v. 17b
1. Spirit of wisdom and revelation.
2. In the knowledge of Him.
