The Marriage relationship is intended to be an illustration of the Christ/Church relationship. The Church is the object of the Lord's love and in the Church are centered all His plans. To be a member of the Church is to be highly privileged.

Ephesians 6:5-9
Christians spend more time at work than at prayer. A larger part of their lives is spent in the "marketplace" than the "holy place." Accordingly their Christian approach to labor relations is of great importance.

2. The Creation ethic. Genesis 1:26-30
3. The Decalogue. Exodus 20:8-11

The final words of this Epistle strike a solemn and salutary note. Christians are in the middle of a battle and will have to be alert if they are going to function adequately.

B. He is slanderous-devil, Gk. "diabolos."
C. He is strong-Note: "wrestle." v. 12
D. He is subtle-"wiles", Gk. "Methodia." v. 11
E. He is structured.
